The JCC's Certified Personal Trainers are skilled at understanding clients' needs and translating those needs to exercise programs that deliver measurable results. Research shows that exercise and nutrition work, but with a personal trainer by your side to answer questions and motivate, results are virtually guaranteed.
We at the JCC work hard to meet all of our diverse clientele's needs. In an effort to do that, we offer over 11 certified personal trainers with a variety of specialties.

Why hire a personal trainer?

Our job is to keep you motivated, educated and accountable. Knowing how to exercise correctly is the key to anyone's program. Trainers are not an expense, but an investment in your health and well-being. Proper exercise selection, form and technique are crucial if you want to succeed long term.

If you have a specific illness, injury or condition, working with an experienced trainer can help you discover ways to train that will not further impede your progress by exacerbating your illness or injury.

Together as a team, the two of you will be able to accomplish the lifestyle changes that you are trying to obtain.

Your Personal Training Options

Private Training:  Personal Training programs offer motivation and direction. Treat yourself to one-on-one workouts with our qualified personal trainers. A personalized fitness program will be tailored to your health and fitness status.

Buddy Training:  (2 people): Do you hate working out alone? Then Buddy Training is for you. These sessions offer a cost-effective option for clients who wish to train with a friend. Buddy Training can also help to generate that competitive spirit which fuels motivation.

Group Training:  (4 or more people) If you are looking for the comfort and convenience of training with your family or friends at a time that suits you, then you may wish to set up your own group training sessions. Small group training offers you a chance to interface with a personal trainer at a very affordable price. The number of participants is limited and the purpose of the training is specific to the group participant's goals. Group personal training is a smart and affordable way to achieve the results you want.

Gravity Training:  GTS is a gravity-based machine that encourages functional exercise using your own body weight as resistance by utilizing a cable and pulley system and free-motion glide board. Adjustable to 8 levels of resistance, the machine engages all major muscle groups and facilitates a multitude of strength training, core and stretching exercises. This unique design makes GRAVITY® accessible to all age groups and physical fitness and experience levels.

The use of body weight as the resistive factor against gravity produces an individualized workout environment that one can progressively increase in intensity as strength and performance improve.

Postural Assessment: Do you have chronic pain that could be coming from a muscle imbalance?  Shoulders hunched, hip out of alignment, low back pain or plantar fasciitis? By doing a postural assessment learn to look beyond your symptoms and treat the underlying causes of your pain.  Your trainer will work with you one-on-one to set up an exercise program that will put your muscles back into harmony and on a path toward pain relief and improved posture.  It is not what hurts but why it hurts!

Fitness Assessment: Includes health history, body fat analysis, BMI, blood pressure, circumference, fitness tests and program design specifically based on your test results.
