Associate Director for PreSchool

 

The Associate Director is a full-time position that demonstrates leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for staff and all families enrolled in the preschool. The Associate Director assists the Director in operating the center in accordance with JCC policies, procedures and state licensing standards to provide an educational, nurturing, and safe environment for children, staff and parents. This individual, along with the other Associate Director, is responsible for all school operations and assumes all Director responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Director. Meets expectations for delivering exceptional customer service to families enrolled at the school.

Seasonal Afterschool/Vacation Camp Staff Wanted!

 

Albany JCC seeking qualified childcare candidates, ages 18+, to assist one of our 4 afterschool sites in Albany for children ages 4-11 years old from May to late June. Hours are 2-5:30pm for offsite locations and 2-6pm for onsite program. Trainings and clearances required before start date. Program needs assistance from May until late June. Two half days in June are June 25 and June 26 from 11am-6pm. Vacation Camp work dates are May 21, May 23-24 and May 28; and in June are June 27-28. Vacation Camp hours are 8am-6pm at JCC onsite location.

Aquatics Lifeguard

Maintains constant surveillance of our members; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of our members and guest members in the event of an emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.   • Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid Certification
  • Must have a good fitness level
  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.

  • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.

 

Landscape-Maintenance Technician

Under direction of the Facilities Director, this position is primarily responsible for the care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center. Plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains outside of building. Other indoor/outside maintenance and maintenance/custodial duties as assigned by the Facilities Director. This is a Full Time year round position. Hours may vary based on the season.

Head Teacher - Early Childhood Education (Full time- 10 Month Classification)

We are looking for a responsible and vivacious Head Teacher to join the team. The Early Education Head Teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, which may include toddlers and/or preschool age children; develops partnerships with birth parents/child’s caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in program. He/She is also responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all State and local governing contracting agencies; and works collegially with other staff members.

 This particular role is a 10 month position that goes off the school calendar.
