Grants & Development Manager

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director the Grants and Development Manager will have primary responsibility for managing the grant development activities of the SAAJCC. The position will oversee non-grant fundraising activities, including campaigns and special events. He/She will work closely with the Senior Team and Board to identify funding sources to support existing and planned fundraising events. Further, the position will manage the development, drafting and submission of grant proposals and will ensure SAAJCC fulfills the reporting requirements of all grant awards. Assistant Director of Youth Services and Camp

The Assistant Director, under the direction of the Director of Youth Services and Camp is a key programmatic and administrative position. Candidate must be cognizant of and then adhere to NYS OCFS regulations and will provide program and managerial support to the Director to ensure proper administration of all policies and procedures. It is expected that this person will serve as a catalyst, motivator and innovator of programs, and services that will cultivate relationships with families via participation via various youth programming. Administrative Associate/Accounts Payable

 

Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Director the Administrative Associate at the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center is a part of the business office team. This position will provide general administration and support to our Human Resources Director as well as to the account payable side ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization, essential to this position is attention to detail, excellent organizational skills. Associate Director for PreSchool

 

The Associate Director is a full-time position that demonstrates leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for staff and all families enrolled in the preschool. The Associate Director assists the Director in operating the center in accordance with JCC policies, procedures and state licensing standards to provide an educational, nurturing, and safe environment for children, staff and parents. This individual, along with the other Associate Director, is responsible for all school operations and assumes all Director responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Director. Pre-K Qualified Afterschool Staff Wanted!

Albany JCC seeking qualified candidate, with 2 years Pre-K childcare experience, ages 18 and up to assist one of our Albany Afterschool sites for Pre-K-Kindergarten Grade children.  Staff hours are 2 pm-5:30 pm. Afterschool Dates run September to June. Two half days on June 21 and 22 starting at 11am. Staff will be responsible for supervision of children and running daily activities including fun, engaging enrichments. CPR and 1st Aid training preferred. Must have at least at least 9 credits in Early Childhood or Education with a plan to complete an Associates or Bachelor's Degree .  Aquatics Lifeguard

 Maintains constant surveillance of our members; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of our members and guest members in the event of an emergency.   • Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid Certification
  • Must have a good fitness level

  • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.

Custodial (Monday -Friday 3pm-11pm)

 Under the direction of the Facilities Director and Housekeeping Supervisor, this position is responsible for routine and extensive range of work in general maintenance and housekeeping of our facility, equipment, grounds and related areas. This is a Full Time Position: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and additionally as needed.
