Albany JCC Vacation Camp

(based on the Albany School District Calendar; closed on major Jewish Holidays)

For Kindergarten to Tenth Grade* when school’s out!

1) Vacation Camp at JCC - For JCC Members, JCC ASH/Montessori/TOAST/HACD Students, and Olam Campers; times are from 8 am to 6 pm in the JWV Room near the front entrance of the JCC. Campers will need a Nut Free Cold Lunch, sneakers, weather appropriate clothing, bathing suit, and towel daily. Kindergarten-6th grade only. DSS subsidy is accepted for this program.
-Swimming, Games, Guest Entertainers, and more! Two Kosher & Nut Free Snacks Provided, morning and afternoon. During Passover/April Break, we only provide Kosher for Passover Snacks.

2) *Circus Camp from Circus Theatricks during  December, February and April Break weeks (5 day program from 9am-3pm; includes before and after care) - ages 7-15.
3) *PADI Seal Team Scuba Camp during  February and April Break weeks (5 day program from 12pm-3pm) - ages 8-15 (child must be 8 years old at time of program and must have a completed waiver form before the camper enters the water) - email for the waiver.

-February 15-19 (February Break) - Also Circus Camp  Week and PADI Seal Team Week!
-March 15 (Albany Schools PD Day)
-April 5-9 (April Break; April 8+9 if unused Snow Days) - Also Circus Camp and PADI Seal Team Week! + April 27 (Albany Schools PD Day)
-May 18 (Albany Schools PD Day); May 17, 27, 28 (if unused Albany Schools Snow Days)
-June 25 (tentative  Vacation Camp day)

4) Pre-K Vacation Camps:

For Pre-K Children, this option is available for our JCC Members and JCC Afterschool children during the December, February, and April week long breaks only. During Passover/April Break, we only provide Kosher for Passover Snacks and microwaved food/food deliveries is not allowed that week. Please pack a Nut Free Lunch. Two Kosher Snacks are provided daily. Must provide a physical/immunization record, individual health care plan, and other required medical consent forms before start date. Please call our Albany JCC Early Childhood Department at 518-689-0039 or to inquire about available dates and to register!

Circus Camp with Circus Theatricks:

Enjoy a fun week of Circus acrobatics, juggling, gymnastics, clowning around, and more with Sean-O of Circus Theatricks! A full day, five day option for ages 7-15 years old. Fun show put on by the campers for families each Friday of the camp week at 2:30pm in our JCC Auditorium.


Come try out our coolest Vacation Camp and latest sports craze by joining the PADI Seal Team! We’ll be doing 5 AquaMisssions, designed to teach young divers, ages 8 -15, the basics of diving. AquaMissions are underwater pool adventures and include AquaMission: Snapshot Specialist, where young divers take pictures of each other diving underwater, and AquaMission: Night Specialist, where they’re diving in the dark with flashlights!

The PADI Seal Team is for kids 8-15 years old, with a maximum of 6 campers. Program runs 12pm-3pm. Kids may join for just Scuba Class or register for full day Vacation Camp to coverage. The campers must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary, and parental approval via a waiver is required. Campers will go through a safety orientation and will be using our snorkel equipment in our pools. This camp is taught be Gary Melius, Certified PADI Divemaster and Instructor with Doc’s Scuba.
